About Jenece:
collaborator, healer, facilitator, teacher, creator, and lifelong inquisitive student

Currently I am completing my final year of studies at the Canadian College of Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine in Bedford, Nova Scotia. I earned the PhD in Music Composition from the State University of New York at Buffalo (New York), Masters degrees in both Music Composition and Vocal Performance from the University of Akron (Ohio), and the Bachelor of Arts degree in Ethnomusicology & Music Composition (minoring in Women's Studies) from Bowling Green State University (Ohio).
I am a certified Usui Reiki Master Teacher and certified Vocal Yoga instructor, as well as meditation facilitator, event producer, creative spiritual integration guide, life coach, sound healer, and avid student of plant medicines.

My patients and students have described me as:
compassionate, intuitive, skilled, creative, knowledgeable, caring, open-minded, and experienced.
In all my work I seek to hold space for expanded awareness and heart-centered presence.
I am a sculptor of sound and energy and edge-dweller

and I am endlessly fascinated in exploring and guiding others
across the misty boundaries of:

academia/medicine/mysticism
corporeality/spirituality
land/sky
practical/imaginative
madness/sanity
sound/time/music
vernacular/exceptional
seen/unseen
material/esoteric/abstract

"Very few in this world know to what extent phenomena can be produced by the power of the voice.
If there is any real trace of miracle, of phenomena, of wonder, it is the voice."
- Hazrat Inayat Khan, The Mysticism of Music, Sound and Word
