Acupuncture is the insertion of very thin needles at strategic points on the body to influence qi/energy and fluid movement in the physical and etheric body.
Acupressure involves pressure on strategic points on the body, rather than the insertion of needles. Acupressure can be indicated for patients that are hesitant about needles or for whom acupuncture is contraindicated. Acupressure Massage is often simultaneously invigorating and relaxing.
Tui-na is Traditional Chinese Medical massage. It is often used in combination with other modalities such as acupuncture, acupressure, moxibustion, cupping, and gua-sha.
Gua-sha is massage using specialized stone tools to stimulate micro-circulation of the soft tissue to increase blood flow and address inflammation.
Cupping is the therapeutic use of glass or silicone vacuum-suction cups to move stagnation in the body. It can be very effective in treating tight muscles by lifting the fascia to create more space for muscles to relax.
Moxibustion is a method of heating specific acupoints on the body by burning a small bundle of specially dried mugwort herb close to or on the skin. This technique can be used alone or in combination with acupuncture and other TCM modalities.
TRADITIONAL CHINESE HERBAL THERAPIES
Using nature’s pharmacy, Chinese herbs and herbal formulas can be very effective in treating specific conditions.
NUTRITIONAL & LIFESTYLE COACHING

Reiki is directed energy healing & attunement. Reiki practitioners direct universal healing energy to work in alignment with the client's own energy field. This is often done through gentle laying on of hands (therapeutic touch) or by positioning hands above the client's body (non-touch). The quantum universal healing energy of Reiki transcends the human constructs of time and space -- therefore Reiki can even be done remotely. Reiki is a powerful tool through which to heal chronic trauma and patterns that no longer serve us and to bring present life circumstances in alignment with one's greatest potential / destiny / purpose. Physical malaise typically always has a deeper message or root. Reiki has enormous potential to unlock these messages and significantly change cellular patterns behind dis-ease.
Sound Healing can be an consciously active or passive endeavor -- or, most commonly, somewhere in between. I have lead interactive group workshops, conduct private sound healing sessions, teach sound healing, perform meditative sound healing concerts, and improvise therapeutic music to accompany yoga classes. Follow me to keep posted on any upcoming sound healing events or CONTACT me to book a private or group session or training.
Called by many names, the ancient practice of glossalalia / speaking in tongues / light language can open portals of consciousness that directly connect us to:
the natural and spirit worlds
the natural ability to heal ourselves and others -- mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually
the multidimensional continuum of time -- past, present, future
expanded and fluid ways of thinking and being in the world
Whether by design or accident (and most probably a bit of both), the fixing/solidification of written language seems to correlate with the rigidification of human consciousness. Here I credit phenomenologists and philosophers including Husserl, Merleau-Ponty, and Saussure as well as the more contemporary David Abram (in his highly recommended book The Spell of the Sensuous: Perception and Language in a More-Than-Human World ).
In bypassing human-constructed, written language, light language can activate and give voice to layers of consciousness that typically have no voice. Consider what the phrase "having no voice" means -- having no agency, presence, embodied uniqueness. Absolutely the written word can offer powerful and beautiful gifts. When taken as the default method of perceiving and interacting with the world, it can also imprison us in stagnant, corporatized, and extraordinarily limited and potentially destructive modes of consciousnes, thought, and presence.
Through more than 20 years of research I have developed a practice of consciousness expansion through light language. I have found that in its simplest form light language affords an immediate connection between my thoughts, intentions, and the natural and spirit worlds that is not tethered to/by the mediation of constructed language. In my own practice I have experienced this light language as beneficial to mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health. It has aided in deepening my relationship with the plant and animal worlds and has greatly aided in my creative work.
Vocal Yoga is a gentle but therapeutic and transformative beginner-friendly practice that fuses yoga postures, breath work, sound healing, voice science, and classical voice training. The Vocal Yoga practice is an invitation to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, become attuned to sensations in the body, and to become aware of stress responses and energetic blocks as they arise -- and ultimately to somatically acquire tools to return the body-mind to harmonic equilibrium. Through the practice of Vocal Yoga the student may discover greater vocal resonance and "presence", sing and speak with ease and without fatigue, develop enhanced authenticity, and unravel energetic blocks that have been holding back success, health, and wholeness. This practice can be of great benefit to singers (and those who have longed to sing!), public speakers, beginning and advanced yogis, and anyone interested in exploring the mind-body-spirit connections of the voice to unlock vitality, presence, joy, resonance, and vibrational healing.
